About "The Light That Never Fades"
Being a daughter of the Melkite Catholic expression of faith, Shellie's love for her church manifested itself in the writing and production of a piece that Shellie quips, "is a calling card of the 23 Eastern churches in communion with Rome. " This pilot, "The Light Among Us" was undertaken to broaden the awareness of the eastern lung of Catholism whose spirituality is rooted in Jerusalem and Antioch "where they were first called Christians." The series is currently in production and introduces viewers to an early and unique thread of faith in the vast tapestry of the Christian faith.
